Local Plan news

The draft Local Plan has been released, and there are a numbe rof plans that will undoubtedly affect our village.

The consultation period runs from Monday 18th September until midnight on Monday 30th October 2017 and residents are urged to have their say about developments in and around the village.

To help with understanding the proposals and what they might mean, and to find out how to respond to the consultation, a number of meetings and drop in sessions are being held.

  •  A Special Meeting of Elvingon Parish Council will be held on Tuesday 3rd October at 7.30pm in the village hall to discuss the response to the CYC Local Plan. The only item for discussion on the agenda is the Local Plan. Residents may attend.

  •  MP Julian Sturdy shall be hosting a drop-in event to discuss local plan proposals for Elvington on Saturday 7th October at Elvington Village Hall. There is no need to make an appointment and you are welcome to come along at any time between 9.30am and 12.30pm to discuss any concerns or queries that you have.

  • Elvington Parish Council has arranged an open meeting for Saturday 14th October in the village hall from 4pm -8pm. The purpose of this meeting is to explain the Local Plan to residents and to assist them in formulating any responses which they may wish to make.
