Interested in joining the Parish Council?

Elvington Parish Council is a lively council consisting of seven Councillors and a Clerk.

It's expected that two vacancies will arise when a new Council is elected in May.

The commitment need not be time consuming – there is a monthly meeting on the evening of the third Tuesday of each month, in the Village Hall and most communication is by email.

It’s a chance to express an opinion and influence the issues facing the village.  Currently hot topics are York’s Local Plan, traffic and bus services.

We want to be representative of the whole village, so if you're interested and want to know more, then contact either:

Ian Bailey (Chairman – 608294) or David Headlam (Clerk – 608721)

Alternatively, you can send a message via the contact us page.

Nomination Forms are available from the Clerk or City of York Council and have to be submitted, in person, before 4.00pm, Thursday 9th April.
