Elvington does the Tour de Yorkshire

It's April, which means the Tour de Yorkshire comes to Elvington NEXT MONTH! (May 2nd to be precise!)

Villagers are being encouraged to paint old bikes blue and yellow, make bunting and decorate your homes and gardens - especially those on Main Street.  If you've got an old bike but not time, why not ask neighbours if they'd like to paint it? And if you've got lots of blue and yellow paint, why not decorate a bike (or bikes!)

There'll be a collective effort to decorate the village over the Easter weekend Friday April 19th - Monday April 22nd, so please get creative and let's turn the village blue and yellow!

We'll need volunteers to help site bikes and hang bunting - and we can also suggest places to locate your painted and donated bikes along Main Street, so please get in touch if you can spare some time!
