Elvington is down to the final four in the quest to find the Best Dressed Village of the Tour de Yorkshire 2019. The rub up to the event saw residents, businesses and groups pull together to really mark the occasion and put Elvington on the map. Unfortunately ITV4 maybe didn't want us on the map but Eurosport did and we had some great coverage.
The voting is only open for a week from Tuesday, June 4th and Elvington is up against a much larger village in Kippax in West Yorkshire, as well as Kirkby Malzeard and Scholes.

Parish Council vice chair Anne Taylor is also up for Spirit of the Tour award. You can vote for her here https://twitter.com/letouryorkshire/status/1135865224588922880
Anne said: "Preparing the village for the Tour de Yorkshire was great - seeing everyone come together to do their bit. I hope people will get voting so Elvington can receive the credit it deserves, well done to everyone who volunteered and enjoyed TDY19!"
